In this course, you will be taken through a series of projects designed to help you see the landscape in your own unique way and expresses your creativity.
We will be using acrylic paint and other water-based media to explore how subtle shifts in value and colour can depict distance and details without needing to worry about perspective.

Frequently asked questions
How long can I access the course?
Forever! Take it at whatever pace you’d like, watch whenever, wherever and as many times as you’d like.
What will I need to take this class?
You can use any art materials that you already have, or you can purchase acrylic paint to use. I will outline more information about materials at the beginning of the class, but if you are an artist that has been painting for a while already then I am pretty sure you will already have everything you need.
I have no painting experience at all, can I take this class?
If you are a brand new artist and you have not painted before EVER then I would recommend that maybe you take a few of my other small online classes first just to get familiar with the concept of painting in acrylic. You can find them here.
If you are a beginner but you have painted for around 3-6 months then you will be totally fine. Be your own judge, if you are super confident and ready for a challenge I'm not going to hold you back!
If I recreate these projects following your instruction, can I sell that artwork afterwards?
You may not sell recreated class projects, as they are my own original artwork + concepts. However, you can use the techniques that you have learned during this course to recreate your own artwork in this style.
About me
My name is Clair and I have been teaching artists how to paint in a more loose and expressive way for over 5 years. I teach both in-person as well as online workshops. I have been told that my direct and no fuss lessons are perfect for artists of all levels. This workshop is made up of several video tutorials that you can follow in your own time and also rewatch as often as you like. The classes are all prerecorded and ready to go so you don't need to wait for content to be added.
